Did you know that many people see the most growth during high school in themselves during their senior year? Well, I just lived it and I can say this year I had so much change, inside and outside of myself, it’s crazy. Growth comes in very different ways, it can be shown through the growth of your relationship with yourself, like learning to love yourself more, and it can also be shown through growth as a person.

I have grown in my relationship with myself and as a person, I have also noticed many other seniors have done the same. I have started working on my relationship with myself because I realized true happiness comes from truly loving yourself as you are and grow to love who you are as a person. Senior year has taught me many things like other people need a lot longer to grow and mature than others. I, personally, have been told I’ve been mature very early on in my life, so my being mature from an early age may have helped with how much growth I’ve achieved this school year. Writing these blog posts has helped me grow as a person because I have been thinking a lot about my mental health and life as a whole, not only the small things. Many times not “sweating the small things” comes with maturity and my realizing the little things won’t matter in five years has really helped me not be so stressed or upset throughout this school year. I really think senior has a lot of people realizing they might never see these people in their lives again, so they don’t worry about the little things and put their differences aside as we all grow and change together through our senior year. I’ve always heard about how senior year of high school changes people and how they act toward others, but now that I am a senior I really believe that is true.

Writing these blog posts has been really beneficial to me because I can reflect on things I normally wouldn’t think about. I have really dove deep into my mental health and into myself as a person. These blog posts have shown me how much growth I’ve gone through while I’ve been in my senior year. My senior year really has shown me what kind of person I am becoming and I really love who I am becoming.
